PMS is an international conference series devoted to Project Management and Scheduling. It was inaugurated by the European Working Group on Project Management and Scheduling (EWG), coordinated by Prof. Jan Weglarz from the Poznan University of Technology (Poland). The EWG gathers together more than hundred members, primarily from various European countries.

The Project Scheduling Game (PSG) is a well-known game that is used at various universities, business schools and company trainings in order to let participants feel what project control really means. The game is used almost everywhere, from Ghent to London, from China to Suriname, from North to South Europe, and today, at Vlerick Business School.
Almost 3 months after the EVM Europe event in Belgium in December 2013, we are back with news on our upcoming activities and/or recent accomplishments on Integrated Project Management and Control.
PSG Extended and tested at University College London
At University College of London, I have the pleasure to teach to a small but excellent group of hard-working and motivated students. As usual, we used the Project Scheduling Game as a tool to learn to cope with project complexity and uncertainty, but we also tested a new extension of our PSG game in class, with promising results. In the new third issue of the Journal of Modern Project Management (JMPM), a new article titled "Blended learning in Project Management: An overview of the Operations Research & Scheduling group" has been published. The article gives an overview of the research and teaching work done at the Operations Research and Scheduling group from the Faculty of Economics and Business Admininstration at Ghent University.
